Your massage will take place in a private, quiet, warm room with optional soothing background music, candles and aromatherapy. A Hepa air purifier has been added to improve air quality in the massage room. During your massage you will lie on a heated massage table designed for your comfort. At the end of the session warm towels will be used to wipe off excess from massage oil or cream on your body. For a mobile massage appointment a massage table will be brought to your location. Please provide ample space and time to set up the massage table.
Before your massage you will be asked to complete a health history intake form to help determine the needs of your body. You will be given the opportunity to discuss any personal preferences for soft, medium or deep pressure, areas of your body that are in pain, need relief or special attention and address any questions or concerns you may have.
How should I prepare for my massage?
Prior to your massage please be freshly showered so your mind can be completely relaxed and free of uncertainly about your cleanliness. In the event you are not able to shower beforehand, a clean private bathroom stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels and a hairdryer is available if you have requested an In-studio massage.
Do I have to get naked?
Massage is traditionally performed with the patient unclothed; however, it is entirely up to you what you want to wear. You should undress to your level of comfort. You will be properly draped during the entire session.
Will lotion or oil be used?
Yes, oil or lotion is used during your massage to prevent excessive friction on the skin and to provide smooth soothing strokes. Only the highest quality of natural, scented, unscented, and hypoallergenic professional massage oils and lotions will be used. If you have a preference, please state it before your massage begins.
Are there any medical conditions that make a massage
Yes. It is very important that you inform any health conditions or medications you are taking on the intake form. Consult your doctor before receiving a massage if you a serious or chronic medical condition, fever or a contagious disease.
Massage is a tool to help heal. Whether it's stress, illness or simply pampering yourself. The benefits of massage can be life changing. I would be honored to take that journey with you.
